Back from the dead

Written by Foxglove Wheelers at 00:01 14/10-2014

After our main benefactor lost interest, the team lost its way, our best riders (Eugen Thiessen, Gunar Jürgens, Wilfried Deiman, Rupert Rice & Tobias Elk; gone but not forgotten) were picked off and went on to have great careers with other teams.

The team kept going with the support of a dedicated staff and fanbase but with the minimum number of riders of variable quality, the team dropped through the divisions in rapid succession.

Following an extended period in the wilderness, recently the benefactor returned and started overhauling the squad. Through activity in free agency they reduced the age of the squad while increasing its size and talent.

Mistakes have been made (4 staff! again! :( ) but the ship has been turned and some results have been coming our way.

  Onwards & upwards.
